RenderSender
Privacy & Terms
Last updated: 2026-06-29. Plain-English summary of what we do with your stuff and the rules for using RenderSender.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your account: a username, your email, and a securely hashed password. (We never store your password in plain text.)
- Your files: the CAD/3D models you upload and the renders we make from them.
- Basic usage: render settings, timing, and error logs so the service works and we can fix problems.
How we use it
- To render your models, deliver the results, and let you share them.
- We never train machine-learning models on your uploads or renders. (If we ever build an opt-in program, it will be exactly that — opt-in.)
- We do not sell your data, and we don't share your files with anyone except as you direct (e.g. a share link you create, or your class teacher when you submit to a class).
Your control & privacy by default
- Every render is private by default. Nothing is public until you choose to share it.
- You can delete any render and its files at any time from the render's page — it's removed from our servers.
- You choose each render's visibility: private, link-only, or public.
How long we keep things
- Uploaded source files are temporary — they're automatically removed a short time after your render finishes (roughly a day). Your finished renders stay until you delete them.
- Want everything gone? Delete your renders, or contact us to remove your account and data.
Security
Passwords are hashed (scrypt). Access to your renders is controlled by your account; share links are unguessable tokens you can revoke by making a render private.
Terms of Service
Using RenderSender
- Only upload files you own or have the right to render. Don't upload anything illegal, infringing, or malicious.
- Don't try to break, overload, or abuse the service or other users.
- You keep all rights to your models and renders. We claim no ownership of your work.
Free tier & limits
- The basics are free, with no watermark. Fair-use limits keep the shared render machines available to everyone: currently up to 10 active renders at a time and an upload size cap of 2 GB per file.
- Limits and features may change as the service grows. We'll keep this page current.
The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep RenderSender reliable, but it's offered on a best-effort basis without warranties. We aren't liable for lost work, downtime, or damages — please keep your own copies of important files. Renders can occasionally fail; when they do, your source file is safe and you can try again.
Accounts & termination
You're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or these terms. You can stop using RenderSender and delete your data at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms; significant changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use means you accept the current version.
